Project assistance with flow and langstroth extraction
Hello Brisbane Amateur Beekeepers Society,
As mentioned in the last meeting, my name is James Lian and I’m a PhD student at the University of Queensland.
I’m part of the Flavour and Sensory Science group under Prof. Heather Smyth at the Centre for Nutrition and Food Science and my project is comparing the differences in honey from different extraction methods, mainly between the methods used for Langstroth frames and Flow® frames. Our partner is BeeInventive, the inventors of the Flow® hive.
We are currently looking for beekeepers who have access to sources of monofloral honeys and can start harvesting between August and September . Interested beekeepers can apply through this survey. Do note that the survey expires on 23 June 2024.
I can be contacted at y.lian@uq.edu.au if there are any enquiries about the project.
Kind Regards,
James

Sounds good James.
